Dear Praying Warriors,
I just wanted to pass on to you all another prayer need that my family wrote to me about today. Right now, Cameroon is going through its presidential election, which means that tensions are high between forces in the Army who are loyal to the president and those who are not. Fighting broke out in Douala (which is a city on the coast about 150 miles west of Yaounde where my family is right now), which could cause Douala to shutdown, making it hard to get supplies to Yaounde.
Fidele does not think it will be too serious but felt that my family should take precautions anyway and be prepared in case it does happen.
Ernest also called and told them to purchase lots of water and food items as the roads are being closed and supplies from Douala may be stopped.
Yaounde is quiet, they say for now but my dad says it seems like the streets are much quieter than usual.
My family was able to get 24 bottles of water, but canned food is hard to come by and their refrigerator is not the best for keeping fresh food over a period of time.
so please pray for them and this situation in Cameroon. I praise God that they are in His hands and that it does not matter what is going on around them...God is still God and He is sitting on His throne. But it is still hard and difficult to be in the middle of a situation like this. So I entrust them to the Lord's care and ask you all to pray that God would work in this situation to bring His name glory, and that my family would have opportunities through this to proclaim the Gospel. Also pray that my family would have great peace and confidence in the Lord as they wait to see what will happen in Yaounde. Thank you so much for your continual prayers!!!
Held by Grace,
Sara
