Dear Ones,
I was so happy to find an email from my dad waiting for me in my inbox this afternoon! They arrived safe and sound in Cameroon, and they are sooooo excited to be in the place God has called them to. Thank you for your continual prayers...and keep praying!!!! Here is part of the email my dad sent me.
"We arrived last night--tired but in great spirits. We crammed all of
us, all of our luggage plus Fidele (My Boyfriend!) and his friend plus Ernest (Director of Bread of Life Ministries) ,
Jochebed (A sweet young lady who works in the orphanage ministry), and his driver into one min van for the ride to Ernest's
home. That is 11 people and all the luggage--wow--that is Cameroonian
to the core.
We slept great last night and woke to a wonderful breakfast at the
Guest House. The girls are already learning how to get water and of
course Peter and Esther were given sweeping lessons by Collette.
Tonight the girls learn how to cook over the open fire. Right now Mom
and the kids are at the market with Collette buying food. Fidele and
I are doing banking and getting other stuff done with Ernest....
It was good to land and begin to hear the sounds
and smell the smells of Cameroon again. Mom and the girls especially
are gleaming with happiness at being here again. Peter is
entertaining everyone and I am busy preparing and planning. It is
good to be working!
Take care and run your races strong and with endurance as
we try to do the same here in Cameroon."
It is so good to hear and feel my family's excitement and joy as they begin the work God has given them to do in Cameroon. I can just imagine that my siblings eyes must be huge with excitement and curiosity as they go to the market and experience a new culture! They have so many challenges to face, but what an adventure God is taking them on! Thank you for your prayers. God is so gracious in blessing them with smooth travels to Cameroon. I praise Jesus for His grace and mercy!!! I know His hand is leading them forth and I know that your prayers are a huge blessing and necessity to their ministry.
I will email you all once I hear some more news from my family. Right now I believe they will be heading up to the orphanage this weekend, but then they will be returning to Yaounde to get all their supplies and luggage that comes on the container that they shipped.
I pray you all have a wonderful day! God bless you all!!!!!!
Run hard for the Lord!!
Held by Grace,
Sara
